Day 1 – 4 Miles
Didn’t get to do this – as I have a strained calf/Achilles. Attempted to get out and give it a light jog but felt the pain quite quickly and know it’s better to let it heal.
Day 2 – 5 Miles
Still no. Frustrated. Feelings are a bit all over the place since I put so much time, effort and money into this.
Day 3 – Rest
Well – at least I can stick to one part of my training plan.
Day 4 – Notified that the race is now cancelled.
That’s that. I guess it’s the universes way of offering me more time to heal and train for the next time.
…and yes – there will be a next time. I fully intend to conquer a half marathon!
