Wisdom is the distilled essence of knowledge, once you’ve forgotten all the details – Neil deGrasse Tyson
I love the above definition.
While I don’t yet consider myself “wise” in all ways, I do feel as if my personal growth/development and maturation have given me some wisdom.
I feel like the “distilled” portion of that definition makes me happy, because it cuts out all the fluff, and gets to the point; I appreciate an artful storyteller, but I like my wisdom with the necessary anecdotes to make the point, but not so much as to beat the already “dead horse”.
Do you think of yourself as wise? In what ways do you not? How does that make you feel? Do you wish you had learned lessons in less “hard” ways, or do you appreciate the lessons as they were presented?
